If you’re trying to create the best possible World of Warcraft character to generate plenty of gold quickly, then you can’t go past the rogue.

Whether you play Alliance or Horde, the rogue is one of the easiest classes to go out questing alone and survive easily. You’ll also find that it’s easier to make quick gold with a WoW rogue than almost any other class.  Alliance leveling guide.

Here are some quick gold guides for your rogue:

1:  Pick Pocket

Rogues have the ability to learn pick-pocketing skills at around level 10. As your character levels up, you can increase your pick-pocketing ability at the same time. The easiest way to increase your pick-pocketing skill is to pick the pockets of any humanoid creature as often as possible before you attack them.

The loot you receive by picking pockets doesn’t affect the loot you get after the monster is dead, but you’ll be leveling up a valuable skill at the same time as adding to your gold amounts quickly.

2: Lock-Picking

Picking locks is another unique skill of the World of Warcraft rogue. Rogues are able to increase lock-picking skills easily by picking the pockets of humanoid creatures and receiving lock-boxes to pick. They can also travel to areas that contain training boxes that are designed to allow rogues to level up lock-picking skills quickly. There are several of these excellent lock-picking leveling places throughout the continents of Azeroth for both factions.

3: Use Stealth To Your Advantage

If you can’t gather a group quickly and you want to gain the most benefit from the loot available in instances, try soloing an instance in stealth. You’ll have to be careful not to agro any mobs, but if you pick-pocket any of the monsters and mobs inside an instance you can gain quite a lot of really valuable loot quickly without having to kill anything. You’ll receive plenty of coins and you can sell most of the other loot on the Auction House or at any vendor in a town, or you’ll find that you’ve received a lot of lock-boxes that usually contain some decent gear too.

4: Selling Rogue Services

Once you’ve gotten your lock-picking skills up to a decent level, you can then sell your lock-picking services to other players for gold tips at any major city. If you park your character outside a major city – like Stormwind or Ironforge for Alliance or Orgrimmar for Horde – and advertise that you’ll unlock any lock-boxes players have for tips, then you can earn plenty of gold very quickly. Players often end up with all sorts of locked boxes as loot from monsters they’ve killed and they need a rogue to unlock them before they can access the goodies inside.

If you’re not sure which type of character class you want to play, the consider rolling a rogue for ease of questing and some really quick ways to earn more gold than most other World of Warcraft character classes.
